Vernon A. Rang, age 96, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013. He was born on November 4, 1916 to Charles and Augusta (Drafts) Rang in Toledo. For many years, Vernon managed several local grocery stores in the Toledo area. He truly enjoyed his work and it was important to him to be able to interact and serve the customers. He is survived by his step-son, Robert (Shirley) Carroll; step-granddaughters, Lisa (Jackie) Pyle and Tesha (Dustin) Towe; step-great-grandsons, Chad Whitacre and Colby Towe; many nieces and nephews and special friend, Gina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura "Toni" (Relford) Rang and brothers, Earl and Clarence Rang.
