Verlin R. Parker, age 70, passed away on November 22, 2014. He was born on June 9, 1944 to the late Bessie and Chester Parker in Jellico, Tennessee.
Verlin retired from Chrysler after many years as an Assembler and Inspector. He enjoyed golfing, Keno, horseracing and visiting casinos. Verlin and his wife, Linda were active members at the Village View Church of Christ in Bowling Green. He also liked assisting others with the research of their family history.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 31 years, Linda; daughter, Cassie (Bill) Whaley; aunt, Lois (Ronald) Benson; grandchildren, Tracy (Dave) Nagy, Tina (Justin) Todd, Tiffany (Joe) Mrkva, Brittany Baker, Ashley Baker and Eric Whaley; 9 great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family will receive guests from 4-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will take place at Clear Fork Baptist Cemetery in Jellico, Tennessee.
