Verla J. Geller, age 83, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, June 5, 2009 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 5, 1926 to Elmer and Latrilla Keith. Verla was an independent owner of cabs with Black and White Cab Company for over 30 years. She was an avid bingo player, never missing a chance to play. Verla was very devoted, caring and loving and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd R. Geller, her significant other of over 30 years, Lewis Ross, brother, Wayne Keith and sister, Donna Gosik. Verla is survived by her son, Edwin J. Geller; granddaughter, Bobbie (Patrick) Yarcso; grandson, Thomas (Megan) Burtscher; great-grandchildren, Michael, Lil Tomie and Lily; sister, Marie Douglass; brother, William (Linda) Keith; nieces, Latrilla (Chester) and Carla(Naajy); her fellow Bingo players; and many other family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery.
