Vereen K. (Wilcox) (Hatton) Seifert, age 67, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, September 28, 2007 at St. Anne's Mercy Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 24, 1940 to Benjamin and Virginia (Book) Wilcox in Willard, OH. Vereen had a strong love for animals. She was a 12 year member of Bedford Alliance Church and thoroughly enjoyed her Women's Bible Study Group. Vereen was a very loving, supporting mother and very giving. She was always surprising people with little gifts and enjoyed helping others. Vereen loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her half-brother, Ronald Partee. Vereen is survived by her loving family, husband of 5 years: Karl H. Seifert; children: Valerie (Michael) Sondergeld, Cheryl (Phil) Dickman, Renee (Robert) Toth, Deron (Arlene) Hatton and Laurie (John) Clemons; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; step-children: Robert (Tracy) and Roland (Alice) Seifert; 3 step-grandchildren; brother: Darrel (Evelyn) Wilcox; and sister: Arla (Don) McPherson.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Vereen's life will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Bedford Alliance Church, 8645 Jackman Rd., Temperance, MI, 48182. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Hinz.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the church.
