Vera Horvath

Vera M. Horvath, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in her home. Vera was born December 21, 1913 to Janos and Martha Sebok in Whitehouse, Ohio. She graduated from Waite High School. Vera was a lifelong member of St. Stephen's Church attending until her health would not permit. She was employed with the former Toledo Telephone Employee's Credit Union (currently Sun Federal Credit Union), retiring at the age of 70. Vera was dear to all who knew her and will be sadly missed.

In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her husband, a prominent local athlete, Andrew "Ekie" Horvath; brother, Michael Shepard; sisters, Helen Takacs; Mary Martha; Elizabeth Szirotnyak and Lola Gobrecht. She is survived by her sister, Anna Chace of San Bruno, CA and sister-in-law, Clare Horvath; numerous nieces, nephews to the 4th generation and dear friends, Stephanie and Ella.

Family and friends are invited to join together Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in the Mausoleum for a service to celebrate Vera's life. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
