Velma Dora Pryor

Velma Dora Pryor, age 91, resident of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord, on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Ridgewood Manor in Maumee. She was born on December 11, 1930, in Perrysburg, Ohio, to the late August and Gladys (Finch) Limmer.
A devout Christian, Velma attended numerous churches over the years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, but most of all, spending time with her family. Her grandchildren meant everything to her; she spoiled them and made sure they were fed and happy, giving snacks and delicious sweets. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her six loving children, Susan Bressler, Thomas (Carol) Pryor, Janet Blanton, John (Suzie) Pryor, Michael (Julie) Pryor, and Steven (Cindy) Pryor; sixteen grandchildren; thirty five great grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Sandy Limmer and Myrtle Barney; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Pryor, whom she married on September 4, 1948; daughter-in-law, Sharon Pryor; three brothers and one sister.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ridgewood Manor for their love, care and comfort that they gave to Velma during her stay.
Special thanks to Robert Blanton and Stacy Cooper for their loving help in moving Velma to Ohio to be closer to where she grew up.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Velma will be laid to rest, next to her loving husband, in Friendship Cemetery in Boaz, Alabama.
