Valerie M. Born

Valerie M. Born, age 99, of Toledo, passed away Friday, December 12, 2008 at Sylvania Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 12, 1909 to Joseph and Marguarete (Stoiber) Bauman in Toledo. Valerie was a medical secretary for Dr.'s Charles and William Phillips and Dr. Remely for more than 35 years. She was a member of the Medical Secretaries Association, holding various offices through the years. Valerie was also a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church and enjoyed bowling and traveling to Florida to enjoy the hot weather.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, George Paps, she was preceded in death by her son, William and daughter, Marilyn. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Carol Born; grandchildren, Cheryl (Jeff) Stover; William and Joseph Born; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be private. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
