Tyson Ray Vargas, beloved infant son and grandson, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 in his mother's loving arms. He was born on a bright, sunny day on June 21, 2016 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo to Nicholas and Brittaney (Oates) Vargas. Tyson was born with a very rare birth defect called anencephaly and was given a small chance of survival beyond birth. He, however, surpassed all medical expectations and lived for 18 wonderful days, 16 of those days were spent at his home. This gave his family the opportunity to know and share their love with him. His family will always cherish the moments they were able to spend with him, especially all the "Tyson Time." Even with his short time spent here on Earth, he will remain in many hearts as an inspiration to all.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted parents, Nicholas and Brittaney Vargas; grandparents, Rory (Darlene) Oates and Sandra Vargas; great-grandparents, Vera Oates, Ray (Blaise) Vargas and Richard (Patricia) Hanusz; uncles, Aaron (Andrea) Oates and John Oates; aunt, Sydney Vargas; furbrothers, Jack and Cooper. Preceding Tyson in passing were his great-grandparents, Thomas (Helen) Young and John Oates.
At this time, all Services for Tyson will be Private. A Celebration of Tyson's Life will be announced at a later date.
Tyson's family would like to specially thank everyone for all the wonderful love, support and diligent care that was provided to them and Tyson, including Mercy Midwives, St. Vincent Labor and Delivery Nurses and Staff, Hospice of Northwest Ohio Nurses and Staff, devoted relatives, friends, co-workers and those who have continued to pray for Tyson and the family.
