Tyler Steven Koester

Tyler Steven Koester, age 28, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at his home. He was born on January 7, 1994, to Kristopher and Kristen (Smith) Koester.

Tyler graduated from Whiteford High School, class of 2012. He played numerous sports in school, and really enjoyed playing frisbee golf. Following high school, he worked at Jets Pizza for 10 years. He enjoyed his coworkers and meeting new faces, many of which were repeated customers whom he got to know very well. Tyler was a very dedicated and hard worker. Known as "Gentle Giant", he had a big heart, beautiful soul, and would do anything for anybody. Tyler was very smart. He was a very talented writer, in which he recently wrote a screen play. Tyler's smile, humor, and love will forever be remembered. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving mother, Kristen Koester; brothers, Josh (Jacki) Koester and Derek (Meredith) Koester; two nieces, Avery and Delilah; grandfather, Don (Mary) Smith; and numerous cousins, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Tyler was preceded in death by his father, Kristopher Koester; grandparents, Gary (Sherry) Miller, Karl Koester, and Joyce Roach; and a nephew, Liam Koester.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, where a memorial service will be at 6:00 pm with Jason Povlich officiating. Tyler will be laid to rest, next to his father, at a later date.
