Twila May Merriman, age 67, departed from this world on December 7th, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 7th, 1943 to Chester and Virginia Meyer in Toledo and was a graduate of Woodward High School. Twila was a transit bus operator for 25 years, spending 10 years as a driver for TARTA in Toledo and 15 years as a driver for MVRTA in Dayton. She enjoyed spending time with family, researching genealogy and going on spontaneous road trips. Twila was also an avid reader of historical biographies. She will be remembered for her curious mind, caring heart and the way she touched the lives of all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Twila was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Scott Anderson and sisters, Linda Klimczak and Virginia Ann Meyer. She is survived by her sons, Michael Jarouche of Toledo, OH; Steven Anderson of Fairborn, OH and David Anderson of Dayton, OH and daughter, Cynthia Anderson of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Rebekah Shadix; Gina Anderson and Brittany Jarouche, all of Toledo; Robert Shadix of Dayton, OH and Sierra Anderson. Also surviving are 2 great grandchildren and many other loving family members.
The family will receive guests Sunday, January 2nd, 2011 from 1-2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
