Tracy L. Mcgovern Shaffer

Tracy L. McGovern Shaffer, age 49, of Toledo, passed away May 31, 2015 at her home. She was born April 15, 1966 in Toledo to Russell and Brenda (Zahner) McGovern. Tracy was a graduate of Springfield High School class of 1984. She was a friend to everyone and enjoyed music and having a good time. Tracy loved spending time with her family and friends.

Tracy is survived by her children, Erin N. (Joe) McGovern-Vargas, Amanda C. McGovern, Hayley E. Shaffer, Tyler Shaffer; mother, Brenda McGovern; grandchildren, Jaydon McGovern, Kayden McGovern, Jordyn Shaffer and Madisyn Shaffer; sister, Wendy (Gilbert) Rainey; canine companion "Pedro," many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father, Tracy was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy Bomar.

The family will receive guests Friday, June 5, 2015 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:00 am. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery.
