Tracy L. Balonek

Tracy L. Balonek, age 51, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 23, 1960 to Stanley and Muriel (Brooks) Balonek in Toledo. Tracy was a driver for Fed Ex for 16 years and then went on to work for the City of Toledo in the Sewage and Drainage Department for the last 6 years. He enjoyed working on cars and just helping people in any way he could. Tracy loved nothing more than the time spent at home with his family.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Tamara Balonek, Tammy McNair, Randy Balonek, Stacy Balonek and Nicki Balonek. Tracy is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Janet Balonek; sons, Keith (Angela Brady) and Kevin (Brittany Zorn) Balonek; daughter, Dawn Balonek; grandchildren and one granddaughter on the way; mother, Muriel Balonek; sister, Cynthia (Terry) Whittaker; and brothers, Jeffrey (Robyn) and Mitch (Elfriede) Balonek.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
