Toni Martino of Toledo, OH passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at his home. Born in 1920 in Castiglione A Casauria, Italy he came to the United States in 1935.
Toni was a WWII veteran having served with the U.S. Army in the Middle East Persian Gulf Command Iran, and moved to the European Theater of Operations in France and Germany. He was a life member of the D.A.V. at 2802 Airport Hwy.
Toni enjoyed playing soccer with local club teams. Toni worked for the B&O Railroad and then joined the U.S. Postal Service where he retired after 31 years. He attended O.L.P.H. Church and enjoyed driving a school bus for O.L.P.H.
school children for 22 years. His hobby was construction enhancements to his home and for others.
Toni is survived by his wife of 70 years Barbara, his son Toni Michael and daughter in law Meanette of South Carolina, and his daughters Gina Martino and Anita Martino also of Toledo. Additionally, he is survived by two grandsons, Damien and Austen Martino of South Carolina, along with great grandchildren Emery and Ethan. Toni also has numerous relatives in Canada, Italy, Australia, and Newark OH.
Toni was committed to his immediate and extended family. He will be remembered as the good man he was.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady-Perpetual Help Church, 2255 Central Grove Toledo, OH 43614 with a Graveside service to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville, Ohio.
