Tina L. Parks, 63, made her transition to Heaven on November 9, 2021 where she is now resting peacefully. She was born to Albert and Lula Mae Parks on June 29, 1958 in Toledo.
Tina was raised in the Port Lawrence Holmes in Toledo, Ohio, where she graduated from Scott High School in 1976 and soon enlisted into the Army National Guard for 4 years. During her enlistment she obtained her Sharp Shooter Honors Medal for being one of her unit's top marksman. After her time in the Army she began to start her family.
Tina enjoyed playing cards, and beating you at cards, because she was just that good! She loved watching cooking shows and trying new recipes. You could always count on Tina for a good laugh and a great time. Tina loved hard and was known for her silly yet feisty personality and immaculately clean home. Her love for music was infectious and even her dance moves. Tina's family will miss her dearly and love her forever.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her sons, Eric D. Parks, Antawon J. (Nicole) Rivers, Delvin L. Parks-Miles; beautiful daughter, Tia M. Parks Miles (Matthew Mangum); 9 grandchildren, Aaliyah Parks, Dre'shon Parks, Senjiah Parks, Eric Parks Jr., Erica Smith, her partner in crime "stinker booger" as she called him & youngest grandson Rashad L. Mangum; brother, Lawrence F. Parks; aunt, Maxine Alexander; special aunt, Margarete Miles; uncle, Ray Thomas; special niece, Arlene Hopings; and special cousins, Darcy, Frankie, Lamont, Angie Miles and Debra Smith.
Tina was preceded in death by parents, Lula and Albert Parks; sisters, Janice Zander and Alfrieda Crawford; and ex-husband, Terry Rivers.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Chapel (419-381-1900) where a Celebration of Life will begin at 5:00 p.m.
Tina's family would like to give a special thank you to her lifetime love, partner and friend, Charles "Charlie" Kimble and a host of family & friends.
