Timothy L. Zander

Timothy L. "Tim" Zander, age 58, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 18, 2017. He was born March 7, 1959 to Edgar and Mary Jane (Guyton) Zander in Sylvania. Tim worked at Powertrain for over 20 years, retiring in 2006. Although he hated the winter months, he loved any show depicting Alaska or the outdoors. Tim was a passionate man who enjoyed life and family. He loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Anita; children, Aaron, Cynthia and Michele Stellhorn; Joshua (Heather) White and Sarah (Todd Hunt) Foster; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Janie (Steve) Wall, Tom (Wendy) Zander and Mike Zander; mother-in-law, Frances Amador; sister-in-law, Sabine Amador; brothers-in-law, William (Kim) and Karl Amador; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Zander.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A Celebration of Life for Tim will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at CrossPoint Community Church, 4212 Onondaga Ave., Toledo, OH 43611.
