Timothy Michael Shine

Timothy Michael Shine, age 52, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away surrounded by the love and comfort of his family, December 11, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic. Tim was born November 19, 1972, in Toledo, Ohio, to James Michael and Carol Ann (McGreevy) Shine. 

Tim was a proud graduate of Start High School, class of 1991. He dedicated five years to his career as a machinist at Tronair, where he was known for his diligent work and reliable presence. Beyond his professional life, Tim pursued his passions with great enthusiasm. For over a decade, he shared his love for racing as a race car driver, where he not only showcased his skills, but also cultivated friendships within the racing community. In addition to racing, Tim enjoyed playing euchre and actively participated in numerous bowling leagues over the years, further demonstrating his zest for life and connection to others.

As a dedicated family man, Tim found immense joy in spoiling his grandchildren with presents, creating cherished memories that they will carry throughout their lives. His quiet yet strong presence was a source of comfort; he was always there for his loved ones, embodying a role that was both supportive and involved.

Tim leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him. His gentle spirit and compassionate nature will be remembered fondly as a testament to the remarkable person he was. As we reflect on the life he lived, we take comfort in the memories he created and the love he shared with all. This is not goodbye, but we will see you again!

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving children, Jeffrey (Megan) Webber and Justin Shine; spouse of twenty-two years, friend, and mother to his children, Eloise Shine; two grandchildren, Elijah and Riley; mother, Carol Shine; siblings, Joseph (Kathleen) Shine, Chris Shine, and Kevin (Elisa) Shine; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other loved ones. 

Tim was preceded in death by his father, James Shine; and niece, Whitney Shine.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Tim will take place at 7:00 pm.
