Timothy "Tim" G. MacGregor, age 70, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully, in his sleep, on Sunday, April 10, 2022. He was born on January 4, 1952, in Sandusky, Ohio, to the late Jack and Julianna (Leidorf) MacGregor.
Tim graduated from St. Mary's in Sandusky. He had previously worked as a truck driver for Walgreens, where he retired on January 4, 2017. Tim enjoyed gardening and yard work. Known as a handyman, he was always working on something and creating new gadgets. He liked to watch American Idol, cooking and baking, especially banana bread and his famous taco salad. He and his wife, Mac, enjoyed taking vacations to the Smoky Mountains, dancing, and making sure he always gave her a hug, a kiss, and told her he loved her. He was the most loving, caring man. Family was important to Tim; he liked hosting family reunions and cooking for everyone. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife of 49 years, Kathleen "Mac" (Gesaman) MacGregor, whom he married on August 21, 1973; four step-children whom he thought of as his own, Kimarie Duran, Tonette "Toni" Thomas, Joni Coci, and Dane Thomas; thirteen grandchildren, Katrina Olzak, Joseph Zuber, Dane Franklin, Je'Tone Alexander, Katiann Jo Boose, Chase Shugarman, Casey Shugarman, Joshua Thomas, Carmen Thomas, Lillie Thomas, Tyler Peterson, Chelsea Greenaker, and Jacob Thomas; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas (Linda) MacGregor and Patrick (Elizabeth) MacGregor; and nieces and nephew, Kiri-Lin, Alex MacGregor, and Shannon (Drew) Hastings.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Sally Franklin; step-son, Phil Thomas Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Alvin and Eileen Klingbeil; and grandmother, Kate Stinson.
Family and friends may visit at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, where his funeral will take place at 4:00 pm, with Fr. Anthony Coci officiating.
