Timothy L. Jenkins

Timothy (Tim) Jenkins, 64, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 6, 2014 after battling esophageal/bone cancer. He was born October 25, 1949, the youngest child of the late Albert (Red) and Betty Minnick Jenkins. Tim dedicated his life to providing love and support to his family. After graduating from Rossford High School, he worked in the automotive and real estate industries. He spent the last twenty years as an insurance adjuster for Allstate Insurance.

Tim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia (Trish) Ducey Jenkins, daughters Traci (Craig Stead) Cleghorn and Tiffany (Greg) Herfurt. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, his grandchildren Ryan and Cody Hickerson, Dalton, Drake, Devon, Delaney and Danielle Cleghorn. Tim was a special baby brother to Sandra (Bob) Rakovan, Terry (Pat) Jenkins, and Torre Kaylor. Brother-in-law Mike (Jill) Ducey and nephews Patrick, Bradley and Matthew Ducey will also have fond memories of Uncle Tim. Tim was especially close to his brother-in-law and best friend, Jeff Ducey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Drew Cleghorn, his brother-in-law Steve Kaylor and parents-in-law Harold and Isabel Ducey. Tim will always be remembered for his crooked smile, gentle and kind nature, and dry sense of humor. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio & Palliative Care staffs who provided care and support at the end of his life.

Visitation will be Tuesday June 10, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio (419-381-1900) with a celebration of remembrance to follow at 7:00 pm.
