Tiffany Nicole McMorris

June 12, 1979 — February 17, 2025

Holland, Ohio

With profound sadness and immense love, we celebrate the beautiful life of Tiffany Nicole McMorris, born on June 12, 1979, in Toledo, Ohio, to Tonya L. McMorris and Eugene Dalton, Jr.. Tiffany was a radiant soul whose warmth, kindness, and unwavering love left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and devotion to her family and friends.

Tiffany was a woman of incredible strength and generosity, always placing the needs of others before her own. With a heart full of love and a forgiving spirit, she saw the good in everyone. A source of wisdom and encouragement, she uplifted those around her with thoughtful advice and unwavering support. She attended Start High School before earning her diploma from Continental Academy.

A true entrepreneur at heart, Tiffany was affectionately known as "The Boss Lady." With an enduring passion for beauty, she dedicated over two decades to her craft as a nail technician. In 2018, she expanded her career by becoming a nail instructor, first offering private lessons before teaching at the Northern Institute of Cosmetology in Lorain County. One of her greatest achievements was the opening of her own salon, Elegant Beauty, a reflection of the grace and sophistication she carried in every aspect of her life. Beyond her salon, Tiffany also managed two group homes and owned multiple rental properties, exemplifying her ambition and entrepreneurial spirit.

Tiffany’s talents and passions knew no bounds. In 2020, she became a published author with the release of A Motivational Journey, sharing her wisdom and experiences with the world. Her love for fashion and event design led her to plan and decorate countless bridal showers, birthdays, and baby showers, always adding a personal, elegant touch. Most recently, she pursued her passion for helping others as a chemical dependency counselor for Lucas County, demonstrating her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

While Tiffany’s accomplishments were many, her greatest joy was found in her family. She was a devoted mother, and partner. Becoming a mother as a teenager, she embraced the role with unwavering love and determination. Her daughters, Destiny ("Nae") and Jasmyne ("Jas"), were the center of her world. She worked tirelessly to ensure they had a life full of love, stability, and opportunity.

As her daughters grew older, Tiffany found love with Dennis ("DG") Gordon Sr., and together, they welcomed their beloved son, Dennis Jr. ("Poppy") the son she had always longed for. Tiffany and Poppy shared an unbreakable bond, creating cherished memories through mother-son dates, TikTok dances, financial/life lessons, and travels.

In 2021, Tiffany’s heart expanded once more when she learned she would become a grandmother. The arrival of Chester ("Duce") Taylor IV brought her immeasurable joy. She eagerly looked forward to their time together, visiting him every morning just to see his smile. In 2024, her joy grew with the birth of Cashius ("Mr. Cash") Taylor, though her health had declined. Yet, every time she saw him, her face would light up with love.

Tiffany and DG shared a love that was deep, pure, and unshakable. Their bond was a testament to true partnership, as they supported and uplifted each other through every challenge. DG, often quiet and reserved, found his greatest joy and comfort in Tiffany. When she decided to leave the nursing home, he didn’t hesitate to become her full-time caregiver, ensuring she was surrounded by love and dignity in her final days, with the unwavering support of their children.

Tiffany also cherished her friendships and family connections, always making time for her girlfriends and favorite cousins. Whether chatting on the phone, going to brunch, celebrating special occasions, or simply spending hours together while she handled her business, she was always present for those she loved. She was only a phone call away, ready to lend a helping hand or share a laugh.

Tiffany was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Tonya Louise McMorris; her sister, Sharise Harris; her grandfather, Roger McMorris; and her grandmother, Arlene Smith.

She leaves behind a family that will forever cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Dennis "DG" Gordon Sr.; her daughters, Destiny Taylor (Chester III) and Jasmyne McCall; her son, Dennis “Poppy” Gordon Jr.; her treasured grandchildren, Chester Taylor IV ("Duce") and Cashius Taylor ("Mr. Cash"); her step-grandchildren, Donte Miller (Megan), Cyona Randolph-Taylor (Sherrell), and Portia Moore-Taylor (Eric); her grandmother, Hattie B. Feagin; her father, Eugene Dalton, Jr.; her sisters, Shevis Harris and Setiera Gill; her brother, Eugene Harris (Keandre); her aunts, Minnie Mitchell, Ollie Wright, Denise Easterly, Sandra Dalton, Yvonne Kulwicki, Sambretha Bailey, Denise Ford- Saxon; her uncles, Mark Kulwicki (Sauna) , Gregory Dalton; godchildren, DaMichael White, Jr., London Mugashe, Antuan Kinnebrew, and Rickayla Berry; 16 nieces and nephews; and a host of loving extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Ohio Living Hospice and her nurse Nicole for their compassionate care. They also extend their deepest appreciation to everyone who supported Tiffany throughout her courageous battle with cancer. Your kindness, donations, visits, and encouragement meant the world to her and her loved ones.
