Thomas "Tom" William Ward, age 75, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, at St. Anne's Mercy Hospital in Toledo. He was born on August 3, 1945, in Toledo, to the late William Thomas and Lula Mae (Swanson) Ward.
Tom grew up in the Ironville area of Toledo. After his studies, he went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Navy, during Vietnam, on the USS America. Following his services, he went to work for General Motors for 35 years. Tom enjoyed the retired life; he liked to fish, grill, and spend time with family. Family was number one in his eyes, especially when it came to his granddaughter, Heaven, whom he adored.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his wife, Ellen (Holley) Ward, whom he married on December 17, 1966; daughter, Heather (Kevin) Cieslewski; son, Shawn Ward; granddaughter, Heaven Leigh Ward; nephew, Danny (Darlene) Hale; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Lula Mae Ward; and three sisters.
