Thomas P. "Tom" Millets, Sr., age 57, of Temperance, MI passed away suddenly June 26, 2007 in his home. He was born November 24, 1949 to John and Mary (Guri) Millets in Allentown, PA. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam. He drove a truck for over 30 years before retiring, most recently with Air Liquide. Tom was retired from the Teamsters Local 20. He also worked part-time doing his dream job at the Toledo Zoo. Tom was an avid ASA umpire for many years, umpiring his last game just hours before he passed. He was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Christine (Crossley) Millets; sons: Thomas II (Robin) and Timothy (Jennie); granddaughters: Sabra and Haley; grandson: Hayden; brother: John (Janice); sister: Patricia (Rodger) Hartranft, of PA; sister-in-law: Kathy Crossley; brothers-in-law: James and Michael (Shelley) Crossley; good friends: Ernie (Barb) Frye and Ron (Lise) Lanning; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Tom's life will be held Friday, June 29, 2007 at Timothy and Jennie's home, 3007 116th St., Toledo, OH 43611 at 2:00 p.m.
