Thomas Olie Harris

Thomas Olie Harris, age 84, of Toledo, formerly of Tennessee, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009 at Swan Creek Health Care Center. He was born on February 2, 1924 to Harvey and Martha Harris in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Tom worked as a carpenter for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Tom also loved music and dancing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Tom is survived by his daughters, Patsy Williams and Nora (Ed) Kornmeier; grandchildren, Kevin (Dianna), Jared, Derrick, Ben (Megan) and Amy; great-grandson, Allen; sisters, Elsie Fisher and Inez Carden; and many other relatives and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 4 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
