Thomas Kucharski

Thomas J. "Tom" Kucharski, age 83, of Toledo, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Point Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on October 30, 1929 in Toledo to Edward and Helen (Golebiewski) Kucharski. Tom was a 1948 graduate of Central Catholic High School and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He retired from the Toledo Police Department after 30 years of service as a Police Officer. He was a member of the F.O.P. for over 50 years and was a Grand Knight with the K Of C.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Geraldine M. "Gerie" Kucharski; daughters, Cindy Cowell and Janet (Patrick) McGuire; grandchildren, Chris (Domonique), Corrine, Catherine, Mollie and Finnegan; great-grandchildren, Trista, Christopher and Elyahna. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 10:000 a.m. –2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Toledo Police Department will conduct a Final Salute Service immediately following memorial services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
