Thomas Friend Sr.

Thomas Lee Friend Sr., age 69, of Toledo, passed away March 25, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice Residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. Thomas was born December 4, 1945 in Mishawaka, IN to Bernard and Oona Friend. He was employed with the Champion Spark Plug company for more than 27 years. Tom enjoyed collecting and working on vintage cars, listening to music and wood working.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was also preceded in death by his children Greg, Mike and Jenny. He is survived by his loving wife, Lolly, son, Tommy (Devon) Jr., stepchildren Anthony, Angela (Joe) and Andrew (Tonya) Mierzejewski, 3 granddaughters, 3 step grandchildren along with his four legged friend Bella. Tom will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Ebeid Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Tom during his illness.

The family will receive guests on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 1:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
