Thomas E. Zawodni

Thomas E. "Tom" Zawodni, age 83, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 13, 1928 to Vernell (Razkowski) Zawodni in Toledo. Tom worked on the railroad, then as a vending machine route man for Rex Vending & Canteen Vending until his retirement in 1993. Tom loved yard work and tending to his gardens and enjoyed rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Tom is survived by his children, Stephen (Becky) Zawodni, Kim (John) Sherburne; grandchildren, Luke, Benjamin, Abraham and Lauren Zawodni; great-grandchildren, Delia and Norah Zawodni; along with other loving family members, friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Tremainsville Hall, 2437 Tremainsville Rd. from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Palliative Care Department at Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center.
