Thomas E. (#TommyTough) Carrillo, age 51, of Toledo, passed away November 16, 2021 at University of Toledo Medical Center. Thomas was born August 28, 1970 in Toledo to Thomas Martinez and Constance (Nino) Carrillo. Tom was an avid sports fan, especially the Minnesota Vikings, Ohio State Buckeyes, L.A. Lakers and the Baltimore Orioles. He faced his battle with cancer head on and was determined to fight until the end, and told his doctors he was an "MVP" on his team. Tom was known for his "one-liners," and always the life of the party. He had a big heart when it came to his family and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Constance Carrillo; sister, Cheryl Torres and niece, Connie M. Carrillo. Tom is survived by his wife, Brenda Stokes; "Pops," Thomas Martinez; children Thomas (Mariah) Carrillo, Ariana Johnson and Matthew (Courtney) Stokes; grandchildren, Cameron, McKenzie, McKale, Logan, Jordyn and Shiloh; siblings, Tony (Janie) Carrillo, Mike Carrillo, Chris (Sharon) Carrillo, Danny (Theresa) Carrillo, Cathi Carrillo, Miguel (Irene) Martinez, Felecia (Fernando) Amaya, Jason (Jaclyn) Willman and Jessica (Matt) Petrey; extended Martinez Family; many nieces and nephews; brother in friendship, Rich Deluna.
The family will receive guests Monday, November 22, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
