It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my husband, Thomas M. "Tony" Anthony. He was born on August 27, 1952, to the late Doris (Young) and Leonard (Tony) Anthony. Tony passed peacefully on, Friday, June 25, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease and lung cancer.
Tony graduated from Whitmer High School. While in high school, he and a few of his friends started a band called "Fantasy". He loved music and to sing. Tony started working at a young age and held many jobs. His final two jobs were Gerity-Schultz, where he took the millwright apprenticeship, and where he was able to work with his dad. He then started working at Jeep as a millwright. Tony really was a jack of all trades and a master of them all. He loved his job and his work. He enjoyed his partners and really liked teaching them his perfectionist ways. He was an amazing partner through life. He loved his children and grandchildren. Tony will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife and soul mate, Mary (Love) Anthony; daughters, Roxanne (Drew Topping) Anthony, and Elizabeth (Josh) Myers; sons, Todd, Chris (Lisa Barra), Kenny (Emily Whetstone) Anthony; 7 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Barb (Joe) Foltz, Pat (Charlie) Tailford, Carol Love and Darlene Anthony; and brother-in-law, Ernie Darlene. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Doris Anthony; daughter-in-law, Zandra Anthony; brother, Bill Anthony; sister, Tami Meyers; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernie and Emma Love; brother-in-law, Bill Jensen; sister-in-law, Sue Love Clark and brother-in-law, Tom Clark; sister-in-law, Fran Love; and a nephew, Justin Love.
