Thomas Allan Ross

Thomas A. "Tom" Ross, age 77, passed away at Toledo Hospital after a courageous 6 month battle on Thursday, March 13, 2014. He was born in Wayne, Michigan to Elsworth and Mary (Dove) Ross on October 5, 1936. Tom was a loving husband and father who proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a proud, "Papa Tom" and devoted friend. One of his true passions were classic cars, particularly his 1959 Chevy Truck, "Old Yeller." After retirement from HydraMatic he enjoyed spending winters with his wife of 55 years in California and many memories were made camping with friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Clara (Lee) Ross; children, Col. Mark (Sheri) Ross, Gayle (Charles) Bayes, Kim Ross and Greg (Barbara) Ross; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Landon and Aubrey Ross; Kyle, Sean and Alexander Bayes; Zachery and Sydney Ross; brothers, Joseph E. (Janice) Ross and John A. (Jan) Ross and sister, Mary Ann Richardson; several nieces and nehpews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, Robert Allan Ross and brother, Robert A. Ross.

The family will receive guests on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 5-8:00 p.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Military Services will follow the Funeral Service.
