Thomas A. Rauschart

Thomas A. "Tom" Rauschart, age 66, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in his home. He was born on September 3, 1945 to Richard and Carrie (Neal) Rauschart in Toledo. Tom was employed with the City of Toledo for 33 years before retiring. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Tom was a longtime member of the Teamsters Local 20. He coached for the S.T.A.R.S. football team and Burroughs little league baseball. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed going to the casino and Club Soda. He loved spending time at the park, but loved nothing more than spending time with his family. Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Chaney. Tom is survived by his daughter, Heather (Eric) Heinze; son, Mark (Chuck Reitz) Rauschart; grandchildren, Bryce, Fletcher, Tyler, Jacob and Joe; sister, Marsha (Scott) McCarty; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends with Teamsters Local 20.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
