August 15, 1933 — February 11, 2012

Theron H. Long, age 78 of Perrysburg, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012 where he was surrounded by his family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born to Herbert and Hazel (Lloyd) Long on August 15, 1933 in Middletown, Ohio. Theron married Connie Culver-Long in 1985 in Hawaii. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and worked for AT & T for nearly 34 years, retiring as a supervisor in 1988. In his spare time, Theron enjoyed riding his bicycle around town; painting ceramics and building his dvd movie collection. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family and was a faithful customer every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at Nick's Family Café.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters, Robin Ossege, Sharon Long and Jenny (Michael) Filppi and son, Theodore Long; grandchildren, Patricia Ossege, Deanna Filppi and Samuel Pozsik. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; brothers, Milton and Thomas Long.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 5-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will follow in the funeral home at 7:00 p.m.
