Theresa Lea Davidson

Theresa L. Davidson, age 61, of Toledo, passed away Friday, August 21st, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born December 15th, 1947 in Toledo. Theresa was employed with RGIS for many years and then Repack Department at Heartland Healthcare for several more. She was a talented seamstress, involved with many organizations with her daughters making banners, posters and anything else that was needed. Her sewing talent was passed on to her daughters, encouraging their love of design and art. Theresa also enjoyed crafting of all kinds. She was an avid Jimmy Johnson fan, often heard cheering him on. Theresa was a member of the American Legion Post 18 Ladies Auxiliary and One Body by the Cross Church. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother cherishing the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren whose life's she inspired daily.

Theresa was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Alan Davidson and her mother, Dorothy Rippel. She is survived by her loving husband with whom she was to celebrate 45 years of marriage on Saturday, August 22, 2009, Ansel D. Davidson; daughters, Brenda Blankenship; Beth (Michael) Matthews; Shawna (Joseph) Elgin and Shannon (Matthew) Browne; grandchildren, Charlene Tauscher; Jonathan and Haley Matthews; Andrew Davidson; Brandon, Samantha, Colin and Dominik Elgin and Justin and Megan Browne; father, John Rippel; brother, Michael (Margie) Rippel; sister, Christine (Bertram) Thorpe and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Saturday from 2-3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with a Memorial Service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
