Theresa Garza

Theresa Garza, age 86 of Sylvania, passed away Saturday, June 18th, 2005 in Flower Hospital. She was born May 9th, 1919 to Lucio and Leonides (Balderas) Puente in Florsville, Texas. Theresa was the former owner of Mexico Chico for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her memory will be cherished by her family.

In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her loving husband of more then 50 years, Roy G. Garza. Theresa is survived by her children, Dora McVey; Mary (Andrew) Weaver; Gene (Alice) Garza; Ray (Estella) Garza; Robert (Lisa) Garza; Sylvia (Marcy) Menchaca; Rudy Garza; Viola Yeager; Dell (Dave) McCoy; Eleanor Martinez; Daniel Garza; more than 200 grandchildren including, Marcelino Menchaca, Jr.; Tamara Gonzales; Rachel Goney; Darlene (Rich) Boyer; Robert Garza, Jr.; Cynthia Weaver; Gyen (Tomas) Ruiz; James (Lisa) Garza; David Garza, Jr.; Kelly King; Pauline (Ramon) Santibanez; Paul Garza and the "Garcia Grandchildren" and many great grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Monday and Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Rosary Service will be recited Tuesday evening. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
