Theodore "Ted" M. Clevenz, age 85, of Toledo, passed away March 12, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 14, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Theodore and Catherine (Mott) Clevenz. Ted served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. A very talented sheet metal worker, Ted's accomplishments can be seen throughout the city of Toledo. He also taught the trade of sheet metal to many local journeymen. Ted enjoyed fishing and boating, but most importantly he loved his family.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patsy N. Clevenz; daughters, Cheryl (Robert) Westbrook, Catherine Clevenz and Connie (Jim) Nobile; grandchildren, Nathan Clevenz, Joshua Clevenz, Sam Nobile and Annemarie Nobile. In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his sisters, Madeline Klem and Evelyn Van der Lip.
The family will receive guests Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
