Thelma L. Taylor, age 79, of Toledo, passed away at 6:12 a.m. Thursday in her home under the care of hospice and her daughter Angela Taylor. Thelma was born December 8, 1937 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Thomas Hayes, Sr. and Mozell M. Hagans. She enjoyed gardening and fishing, but her great passion was caring for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Velma Jean Hayes, Angela Yolanda Taylor, Debrothia Louise "Brocky" Taylor and her baby boy, Jacquit Djuane "Wayne" Taylor, 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Thomas Hayes, Jr.
The family will receive guests from 1-3:00 p.m. Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. Toledo, OH 43623.
