Thelma R. Millhouse

Thelma Millhouse, age 84, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 28, 1927 to John and Mary (Billups) Goree in Marion, Alabama. Thelma was an avid bingo player, loved to crochet, play cards and go to the casino. She was a longtime member of Southern Missionary Baptist Church. Thelma will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 4 brothers. Thelma is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Charles Millhouse, Sr.; children, Theresa (Ronnie), Charles, Jr. and Sheila Millhouse; grandchildren, Angel (Bankston), Starr, Kristina, Bernice (Lewis), Monica and Pierce; great-grandchildren, James, Jeremiah, Logan, Joshua and Davon'te; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Southern Missionary Baptist Church, 1222 Indiana Ave., Toledo, with Funeral Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.
