Thelma Mae Bailey

Thelma M. Bailey, age 74 of Toledo passed away Thursday, March 3, 2005 in her home. She was born June 9th, 1930 to James and Verna (Arms) Blythe in Petersburg, Michigan. Thelma was employed at Cofe's Bakery as a decorator for 12 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she cherished the time with her family and friends. Thelma was also an Ohio State Buckeye Fan.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bailey, Sr. and brothers, James; Robert; Lonnie; Lawrence and William Blythe. She is survived by her loving children, Robert (Sandy) Bailey; Terry (Deborah) Bailey; Diane (Mike) Flanagan; Darlene (Bill) Collins and Mary (Steven) Crouch; grandchildren, Terry; Lonnie; Kelly; Heather; Pam; Samantha; Michael; Brian; Lisa; Jennifer and Robert; 14 great grandchildren and sisters, Shirley Stuard and Charlotte Babcock.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Dave Rushton. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers those wishing to send an expression of sympathy are encouraged to consider Northwest Ohio Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.

Thelma's family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and caregivers, especially Barb and Konnie for their loving care of Thelma.
