Terry R. Boerst

After a protracted and bravely fought battle with lung cancer, Terry Boerst passed away to Our Heavenly Father on June 29th, 2017 in Toledo, OH at the age of 74. Terry grew up in South Toledo, the son of Ronald and Harriet Boerst.

Terry leaves behind a loving, caring, and devoted wife of 52 years, Linda Boerst. He is also survived by his daughter Sheryl Boerst-Catti, his two sons, Brian Boerst and Thomas Boerst; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Terry married Linda in 1965 in Toledo, OH, where he worked a long career with the General Mills corporation and she served as a postal employee serving the community. They two raised three children in their family home.

Terry was known professionally as reliable, hard-working, and passionate about his responsibilities. Those who knew him best would also mention he enjoyed hustling a friendly game of cards from time-to-time. Terry loved camping and Cedar Point with his family in the early years, while spending time tending to his land, horse, grandchildren events, and cookouts after retirement.

Terry requested cremation and the family will celebrate his life privately with a future ash-spreading ceremony to be determined.
