Terrence "Terry" D. Mohr

Terry's courageous health journey came to an end on September 17, 2024. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 7, 1954 to the late Paul and Rosemary (McLaughlin) Mohr. From an early age, Terry displayed a generous spirit that defined his life. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School through the 8th grade, where he proudly served as an altar boy, fulfilling his duties with a sense of pride and devotion. His willingness to help others was evident in his youthful days as he often shoveled sidewalks and washed cars for members of his church community. A graduate of Macomber High School and Owens Community College, Terry's thirst for knowledge led him to the post office, where he traveled across the country, earning skills that would serve him well during his tenure there. He enjoyed a fulfilling career with USPS, retiring just a few years ago.

Known as a doer, Terry was always ready to lend a hand on any project, embodying kindness and selflessness. Lovingly referred to as "mom’s favorite," he had a gentle heart and a natural inclination to put others before himself. His passions included cruising through life on his sailboat, Harley, or in his car, with a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. Whether working with wood and leather or baking cookies, Terry infused a loving precision into everything he did. Terry lived his life on a spiritual basis that could be seen in his everyday actions.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his siblings, Carolyn Koliba, Paul Mohr, and Daniel Mohr. Surviving are his life partner, Joyce Morris; sisters, Linda (Rick) Martinez and Maripat (Tim) Perkins; nieces and nephews, Tim Koliba, Carrie Mrowka, James Mohr, Alicia Plasencio, Caleb Scholl, and Rosemary Perkins; loving family members, Beth (Larry) Beaverson, Amy (Chip) Irons, Brandon, Morgan, Justin, Chase, and Emma; and life-long friends, Donald Forgette and Bobby Forgette.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, where a Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 pm. Inurnment will take place privately at Calvary Cemetery.
