Terese L. Sharp

June 24, 1964 — October 2, 2022

On Sunday, October 2, 2022, Terese "Teresa" Lynn Sharp, loving wife, mother, memaw, sister, and friend passed away at age fifty-eight surrounded by her loved ones. Her battle with endometrial cancer had only just begun in June of this year. She was born to the late Chester and Theresa Lawniczak on June 24th, 1964 in Toledo, Ohio. She attended Swanton High School. She wed her husband Curt in July 1987 and spent many years as a stay at home mom to raise her two sons. Some would say she earned her sainthood in these years as it took a lot of time and patience as her boys had numerous pranks and ER visits to keep her on her toes. She loved retelling the stories and antics of them both as young boys and through it all she raised them both to be wonderful men, husbands, and fathers. She worked faithfully at the Home Depot for 25 years up until her cancer diagnosis. She was a hard worker, a loyal employee, and all of her coworkers appreciated her kindness and mama bear attitude.

Teresa had a love of cooking and baking and truly enjoyed providing delicious food for family and friends. Some favorites to prepare for Sunday dinners or holidays were her famous potato salad, pork chops, pigs in a blanket, kielbasa, prime rib, Oreo cake, and pumpkin rolls. True happiness came from seeing the ones she loved enjoying her prepared dishes and she was sure to share her recipes so they could be passed down and enjoyed by future generations.

She was an animal lover and has had many pets, especially dogs over the years. She even spoiled her granddogs and would babysit them just like they were children. She took care of any strays in the neighborhood by feeding them or finding them homes. She also loved feeding and watching hummingbirds and orioles, true crime shows, and a good sale.

She had many nicknames throughout the years, Teresa, Tinker, Tink, T-bone and Tree are just a few but being called Memaw was her favorite and most accomplished title. She would do anything for her grandchildren and valued spending quality time and making memories with each of them. Sunday visits, ice cream dates, McDonald's lunches, pizza dinners, and sleepovers were routine. She was also known to always have some candy in a dish waiting for them when they visited and did this even in her last days for them. Seeing them smile and grow brought her absolute joy.

Teresa was best known for her quick-witted humor, strong determination, and generous spirit. Her love for her family was fierce and unwavering. She was loved "more than infinity" (as she would often say). She is survived by her husband, Curtis Sharp, and their sons, Curtis "CJ" (Kristy) Sharp Jr. and Joshua (Ashley) Sharp. Siblings Becky (Dan) Keivens, Larry (Karen) Lawniczak, Daniel Lawnizak, and Michael Lawniczak. Many nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Gage, Paisley, Tate, Odell, and Baby Sharp due in January. Numerous loving friends and her fur baby "Luke." She is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Theresa Lawniczak, father-in-law Curtis Odell Sharp and mother-in-law Betty Sharp, brother Chester "Skip" (Barb) Lawniczak, sisters-in-law Pamela Lawniczak, Sally Lawniczak and Chris Sherman.
