Terence Lee Wyatt
February 6, 1961 — July 10, 2022
Terence (Terry) Lee Wyatt aka T.A.N. and El Nucleus Bey, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2022 at UTMC Hospital, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Terry was born February 6, 1961 in Baltimore, MD, where he lived until 1972 when his family relocated to Toledo, OH. He attended Toledo Public Schools and was proud to be a Fulton Elementary Tiger and a Scott High Bulldog. He later took music courses at the University of Toledo.
By the age of 8, Terry's artistic gifts began to manifest as he started sketching cartoons and abstract drawings. His talent was so impressive that he was selected to design art for the 1979 Jesup W Scott High School Yearbook, during his senior year. His creative gifts later expanded to include playing musical instruments like the keyboard and guitar, and he went on to write, sing and record several songs. When he wasn't creating art, Terry found a passion working in food service. He spent the last 30 years as a catering assistant at KC's Catering, where he worked until his health declined.
Terry will forever be cherished and remembered by his only child Ketaan Wyatt Sr, Mother Dorothy Murdock; Sisters, Tammy (Gary) Tisdale and Bonita (Marty) Lee, Brother Barry Wyatt; grandchildren Ketaan Jr, Karter and Kennedy, bonus siblings, Shirley (Dale) DeGroat, William (Sharon) Murdock, Jr and Steven Murdock as well as his extended family in Baltimore MD: Norman Johnson Jr, Normantha Evans, Norma Jerald, Noreen Willard, Norman Johnson III, Norwood Johnson, Noree Johnson, a special Aunt Ilease Funderburk, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive guests Monday, July 18, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
The family is requesting those coming to either the visitation or funeral to please wear a mask.
