Tammy A. Leyman, age 50, of Toledo passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at The Toledo Hospital where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 3, 1961 to Ronald and Bonnie (Buehrer) Mills in Clovis, New Mexico. Tammy was a graduate of Southview High School and most recently, Mercy College where her concentration was in Polysomnographic Technology. Tammy married Thomas D. Leyman, II in Toledo on August 1,1981. She was a member of St. Clement Church and an avid Ohio State fan. Tammy's family will remember her as a loving and supportive wife and mother. When her children were in school, Tammy could be found cheering them on from the sidelines, she always enjoyed attending their sporting and school events. Tammy's spirit and wisdom provided great strength and guidance to her children and their friends. Most importantly she took care of her family and put their needs before her own while also working to help provide for her family. Her family will remember her wonderful baking; they will especially miss her delicious buckeyes.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years, Tom; children, Josh, Jacob and Kendra (Gary) Leiser; father and step-mother, Ronald and Linda Mills and brother, Mark (Ashley) Mills. Preceding her in passing was her mother, Bonnie Mills; paternal grandparents, Denver (Evelyn) Mills and maternal grandma, Rosalin Buehrer.
The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. with Very Rev. Michael O. Brown officiating and Deacon James M. Dudley assisting. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
