Sylvia Guthrie

Sylvia Guthrie, age 89, of Toledo, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 at Lake Park Care Center. She was born on November 14, 1918 in Jasper, Michigan to Edward and Lucy (Twiligar) Goodwin. Sylvia was employed with Power Train for 10 years until retiring. She was an avid Bingo player, always able to find a game! Sylvia will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hillas Guthrie, brothers, Russell Goodwin, Kenny and Dewey Wagner and sisters, Gladys Lindsey and Louwella Graham. Sylvia is survived by her loving family, daughter, Ruth Ann (Robert) Boyd; son, Edward (Sharon) Guthrie; grandchildren, Ricky (Phyllis) and Renee (Rick); great-grandchildren, Amanda, Erin, Brittany, Carlton and Ashley; and great great-grandson, Anthony and one on the way!

Graveside Services will be held for Sylvia on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to meet at 12:45 p.m. at the front gates together before processing back for services.
