Syble L. Chandler

Syble L. Chandler, born on October 5, 1932, in Rome, Georgia passed away suddenly on November 13, 2024. She was a remarkable individual known for her resilience, kindness, and unwavering faith. Syble was not only dedicated to her family but was also a beloved friend and a nurturing presence in her community.

Throughout her life, Syble exhibited a friendly demeanor and a compassionate spirit, always taking the time to listen to others. Her warmth and religious devotion touched the lives of many. She found joy and fulfillment in her hobbies, which included cooking and gardening, beautifully reflecting her nurturing personality.

Syble cherished her family, and her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her three daughters: Maryjo (Dan) Nelson, Jeannie Landry, and the late Linda Pietras. She also took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Christine, Matthew, Justin, Noah, and Joel, and as a great-grandmother to Makenna, Andrew, Jesse, Natalie, Brayden, Taelyn  and Jaxon. Each of these relationships brought her great joy and fulfillment.

She is survived by her daughters and grandchildren, along with her brothers, Paul (Mary) Wallace and Mark (Lois) Wallace. They will always remember her resilience and the love she exhibited throughout her life.

Syble was preceded in death by her husband, Donald S. Chandler, and her parents, Farris and Bessie Wallace, who undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping the values she imparted to her family.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Flanders Road Church of Christ, located at 5130 Flanders Road, Toledo, OH 43623. Following this, a funeral service will commence at 12:00 PM at the same location. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park in section 11.

Syble Chandler leaves a legacy of love, compassion, and resilience that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and unwavering faith. Memorial contributions may be made to Flanders Road Church of Christ.
