Suzanne M. Kinsey

Suzanne M. "Sue" Kinsey, age 83, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully Friday, May 7, 2021 at home surrounded by loving family. She was born on September 11, 1937 to Roger and Vivian (Duvall) LeFebvre in Toledo, OH. Sue grew up in Point Place, Shoreland area then met and married her husband, Richard Kinsey. Shortly after they moved to Temperance, MI where they began raising their family. Sue made her children's clothing, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, passing a keepsake on to everyone in the family. She was an excellent cook and baker. Sue was known for her cookies and pies, something that will be missed by all. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sue's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son-in-law, Charles Smith; grandson, Kevin Modrowski; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Richard Zeiler; and sister-in-law, Mary Hebel. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Brenda (Paul) Modrowski and Lisa Smith; grandchildren, Ryan (Dawn) Modrowski, Lisa (Randy Lammers) Swint, Justin (Jennifer) Smith and Jennifer (Raymond) Nusbaum; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother, Charles Hebel; special niece, Kelly (James) Zeiler-Etts; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 3 – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. (For the safety of the Kinsey family and their guests, masks are required with social distancing).
