Suzanne B. Jacobsen

Suzanne B. "Sue" Jacobsen, age 77, of Toledo, was surrounded by her loved ones when she went to be with her family and the Lord early Sunday morning. She was born on February 18, 1936 to Edward and Dorothy Hogle. Sue was a strong, loving, and gorgeous soul that worked hard to raise nine children. She retired after 25 years as a dedicated nurse. Sue will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Winifred; brothers, Charles and Robert, and son-in-law Rick Salazar. Sue is survived and loved by her sons, George (Barb), William (Michelle), Robert, Donald, Michael (Gayle) Jacobsen; daughters, Becky Salazar, Cindy (Jeff) Buschmann, Alyce (Patrick) Croskey and Betty (James) Anderson; sisters, Patricia Bach, Diane (Steve) Disrude and Kathy (John) Rathburn; 30 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; 1 great-great-grandchild and 2 on the way; and second family Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Miller and children.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization she held dear to her heart.
