Susan R. Spang

Susan R. Spang, age77, formerly of Maumee, OH, passed away on May 11, 2024 at Elizabeth Scott Community. Susan was born July 3, 1946 in Toledo, OH to Harold M. Bachar and Mary E. (Wharff) Bachar. She attended Waite High School and later moved on to working in jewelry sales with her late husband of 45 years, Edward "Bruce" Spang. In her later years, she spent some time working for a local florist. Susan was known for her sense of style and fashion, as well as her cooking. Her potato salad and chocolate chip cookies were some of her best-known recipes. She, along with her husband, were active members of the Maumee River Yacht Club, where she spent plenty of time boating and enjoying time with her friends.

Susan is survived by her step-sons, Brent (Holly) Spang, Jason (Amy) Spang and Todd (Tricia) Spang; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Bruce" Spang; son, Christopher Frick and brother Timothy Bachar.
The family would like to thank Elizabeth Scott's level 2 and level 3 caretakers for their kind hearted assistance and compassion in Susan's time of need.

Susan has been laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
