Susan Place

Susan C. Place, age 70, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, June 8, 2007 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on April 22, 1937 to Arthur and Twila Kopitke. Susan was a nurse's aide for several years. She loved to read and had a wonderful sense of humor, always smiling and making someone laugh. Susan cherished time spent with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jerry. Susan is survived by her sons: Harry McKinney and Steve (Jenifer) Place; grandchildren: Jacqueline Garza, Michael McKinney, Emerencia, Steve Jr., J. Donald and Ricardo Place; best friends: Marsha Bumgardner and Tina Harman.

There will be no visitation or services for Susan per her request. The Newcomer Funeral Home assisted the family with professional services.
