Susan I. Norton

Susan I. "Sue" Norton, age 78, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to Lewis and Gladys (Shears) Gill on August 8, 1940. Sue was a graduate of Bedford High School and attended the University of Toledo. She worked for many years as a teachers aide for Washington Local Schools where she took great pride in working with the children. Most important to Sue was her family. She was a proud mother and grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed supporting her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Sue and her husband Troy made many memories at their cottage in the Irish Hills and traveling throughout the United States and various countries. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 55 years, Troy Norton; son, Phil (Kim) Norton; grandchildren, Beau (Kylie) and Storm (Breanna) Norton and their mother, Karen Willis; great-grandchildren, Zaydyn, Kaid, Ryker and Knox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Halsey

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 2-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home- Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with her Funeral Service starting at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In Sue's memory, memorial contributions may be made to Whitmer Athletic Club.
