Susan Kay McCollum Houghtlen

Susan "Sue" Kay McCollum Houghtlen, passed away October 6, 2024 in Swanton, OH. 

Susan was born January 7, 1955 in Toledo to Clifford Allen McCollum and Naomi Hope (Stockdale) Basore. Susan graduated from Rogers High School in 1973.

 In addition to her parents, Susan was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Dale McCollum and Danny Jo McCollum. She is survived by her brothers, Clifford Ray McCollum and Dean (Vickie) McCollum.

Susan lived many years in the beautiful state of Colorado. She loved classic country music and attended many concerts with her dear friend, Joleen. While living in Colorado, she worked as a nursing aide at a nursing home, the residents adored her. When anyone had a birthday she enjoyed baking them a beautifully decorated cake and cupcakes. Susan also loved to laugh.

The family will receive guests, Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614 (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
