Susan Kay(Schroder) Thomas

Susan Kay (Schroder) Thomas, age 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2014, while in Bradenton, Florida. Sue was a resident of Lambertville, MI for 45 years. She was born in (Wauseon, OH) to Henry and Ella (Grimes) Schroder on November 8, 1940. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

Sue volunteered and worked at Grace Baptist and Emmanuel Baptist Church for several years where she had a very strong faith. She enjoyed volunteering at the Bedford Senior Center, playing cards and spending time each summer at the lake with her family and grandchildren. She looked forward to spending her winters at Tropical Palms in Bradenton, Florida.

Sue will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved
her. Sue is survived by her loving children, David (Kathy), Larry
(Cathy), Jeff, Angela (Patrick) Williams, 9 grandchildren, 6 great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Wayne H. Thomas, her
loving husband of 50 years; daughter, Margaret (died shortly after birth);
parents and brother, Martin (Judy) Schroder.

Family will receive guests Thursday, January 30 from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. at
Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Rd. (419)473-0300. Viewing
again will be held at 9:00am on Friday, January 31, at Emmanuel Baptist
Church, 4207 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, Ohio. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00am in the church on Friday. Interment will follow in Lambertville Cemetery in Lambertville, Michigan.
